05-10-10 Toblerone is a very pretty 2 year old Doberman that was rescued from the pound today where she was due to be put to sleep. Toblerone is a very pretty lady who walks well on a lead, but can pull. However, in experienced hands she is a real gem. This girl is good with other dogs but also could be an only dog. Unfortunately we do not have any background to Toblerone, but here she is a magnificent and kind girl.

Tobleron is a great girl and is good with other dogs but would be better with dogs of a similar size. She is great with people and would make a lovely addition to home, but we are looking for a home well away from any stock and with no cats as she would definitely chase both. Please find room in your home and your heart for this lovely girl.

Toblerone had a go with some agility this morning and oh what a star she was! Vicky had her leaping over the jumps with a little bit of encouragement. Tobi is an intelligent dog and would love it if someone would spend time training her and taking part in canine sports. She is full of bounce and energy and loves to have a really good run. She would love a home with an experienced owner; someone who understands Dobermans and will handle her firmly but fairly as this is what she needs. With this, she will repay you with loyalty and love. She is a lovely dog.

She was briefly homed but did not get on with the resident dog and we feel she would be best homed as an only dog and where there are no cats or other livestock as she will definitely chase. Today I got the chance to work outside with the dogs which meant I had time to work with some dogs one to one. One of the dogs I really wanted to be with was Toblerone. Toblerone has been with us a long time now and she is turning into a long termer. It seems to get to a point where dogs like this do not even get a look in let alone any interest in homing. I can't imagine how sad she must feel, although today I felt her pain.
Toblerone is kennelled in our 'sand school' kennels. These are situated directly next to our sand school which means she can get lots of free running in the sand school as well as her daily walks. There are three kennels there and she is guaranteed always the first to be at the front of the kennel to greet you. However, today as I approached the kennels all was quiet. The two other dogs were stood at the front of the kennels wagging and saying hello but as I stood by Toblerone’s kennel the difference in what I normally saw was upsetting. Toblerone like I say is normally the first to greet you, whereas this time she didn't come forward. I walked into her kennel and still she did not come. She was curled up in her bed with very sad longing eyes. It was this that shocked and upset me the most. From such a happy excited girl Toblerone’s will to live had and gone, and I can't help but feel she is losing a reason to live. Despite me asking and encouraging her, she did not want to come out. We cuddled and sat for a little while and over time she agreed to come out to play. We went into the sand school and we played and I did a little clicker work with her, Toblerone really enjoyed this, the thought of been wanted and interacted with really thrilled her. I just wish someone out there would be willing to give her this. The home has to be with no small animals, no horses or live stock nearby. She walks past other dogs brilliantly but we feel would be happier as a only dog. What do you get in return? A truly loyal and loving companion for life.

WE WILL NOT CONSIDER HOMES FOR TOBLERONE WITH CATS OR ANY SMALL FURRY ANIMALS OR THOSE WHO LIVE NEAR LIVESTOCK. WE ARE REALLY LOOKING TO HOME HER AS AN ONLY DOG WITH EXPERIENCED DOBEMAN OWERS.
