This is Snowy. My official dog tester. Snowy loves food and no matter what his feelings for our dogs or foster dogs. He can always be found in the kitchen. The kids insisted he be called Snowy, because for months every morning we got up our bathroom looked like a Snow storm had happened in the night. He also loves boxes, bowls, and dustpans! This is Snuggles, my cat. Bought from a pet shop by my soppy husband because he wanted "a cat of his own". Called Snuggles because every time I sat down with a cuppa, she would drape herself around my neck. Thus upsetting stuart because she would mostly ignore him. She is grumby and aloof unless she wants dinner. She disappears for weeks at a time when the warm weather arrives and worries us all. More to follow later.

After having to have my last Shepherd "Tusk" put to sleep. I said I would never again have another dog!! And I ment it, until, one christmas up the park with the kids. I spotted a man walking a GSD puppy and I began to rethink my ideas. I missed having a dog around. I spotted an advert for puppies in a local newspaper and we went to have a look.. ONLY TO LOOK .. And we came home with BLUE Who grew into this ....

Then there was Teddy.. I kept looking at him. He was a rescue in kennels. I applied for him but he had been homed. Luckily for me his new home did not work out and I was contacted again. To this day I do not know why someone would give him up. He is so laid back and chilled out. He has allowed me to bring endless new foster dogs into my home. I can take him anywhere without any fuss or problems. He is one big wonderful cuddle monster who I could not imagine being without.

The last of my fluffy family is Norman. Named by Nana Joyce when she lived with us two years ago. As a kitten he would run around upstairs over her bedroom she named him Storming Norman and the name stuck. He is another good dog tester cat and very clever. He will come in and seek out each of the dogs to say hello to them. He is a Cool Cat.

| As some of you will have realised last November I took in a foster dog called Rosie. We discovered that she had lots of socialisation issues. But she also has a wonderful side too. By the end of December and at the end of my teather I had decided two things. One she was going to be staying with me. Two that I needed help. Indoors I had a lovely cuddly family dog but outdoors I had an overprotective hound from hell, who would chase people and fight other dogs. She had to be walked alone, muzzled and on a long line so that she got a tiny bit of freedom. I'm pleased to say that with help from some wonderful people who work in rescue. We have managed to make mostly a changed dog out of Rosie. We have gone from this last December to this, this mornings outing up the park Teddy, Rosie (in the middle) and Blue. Worn out from chasing ball's around the field Blue and Rosie (in front) Now believe me I don't have the perfect dog yet, but I would like people to know that if they are prepared to put in the time with a rescue dog, the end result is so worthwhile. _________________ If dogs could talk, it would take a lot of the fun out of owning one. ~Andy Rooney.
