If your choice of collars and leads is the same as mine............Leather Half-check Collar...and ..Police Style Lead...........then you might find this usefull.... :thumbs up:
I thought i'd treat Mr Murphy to a new Collar and Lead....................and as my previous source had dried up.....................i found myself trawling the net searching for what i was looking for.
I couldn't believe some of the prices i found for what didn't look (imo)...very good stuff !
I knew what i wanted and know that you get what you pay for these days.
So in the end I found myself on good old Ebay :brow: ...................narrowed a few sellers down and decided to order !
Like always, you take a bit of a chance but after reading the description, seeing her excellent feedback ......and noting that she made her first one many moons ago for her GSD.........i thought yup....all sounds good .............plus i thought the price was really good ... :thumbs up:
I ordered a collar.........and then mailed her about a lead...............all sounded good, so ordered the lead and waited !
Well it's not often that i recommend people !........... as anyone that knows me will know i set my standards for workmanship quite high...........................but i received the parcel ( on time ).......and i gotta say Chris' craftmanship is of the highest quality ..............believe me !
The Leather is Top Quality ..........the Brass Fittings are Top Quality ............the Finish is again, Top Quality..........................( do you all get the feeling its all top quality by now.... :rolleyes: )
When the finish is talked about regarding leather collars and leads etc.................it's things like the edges being dyed and smoothed over, the stitching nice and neat...............and regarding the lead..... (remembering it's quite long and has loops on it).........it's made from one length of leather and then the loops attached to that..................rather than several pieces joined .
As Chris said, she wouldn't send out anything she wouldn't be happy buying herself !.............the same way of thinking as me good self :thumbs up:

Oh and anyone that uses leather leads that don't already know about some stuff called "Flexalan".......i'd recommend it also !
Some of you horsey folk might know about but it's a dressing that you brush on to new/old leather.
It waterproofs and keeps the leather supple............i been using it years and it's really good gear...........cheap too !
