Lottie

Size: 13kgs
Arrived: October 2010

Hello, my name is Lottie
I’m a five month old female, German Shepherd and Rottweiler Crossbreed. I will grow up to be a large sized dog.
I arrived at The Mayhew because my owners weren’t looking after me properly.

I am a sweet natured, intelligent and alert pup. I have spent most of my young life tied up to a tree in my previous owners’ garden, but luckily my early experiences haven’t dampened my spirits and friendly nature.
I love going to the park where I enjoy meeting up with new people and other dogs. I’m starting to put on weight and learn the basics.
I am a bouncy pup who still has plenty to learn, so I will need a lot of time and dedication from my new owners to teach me all the basics and perfect my doggy manners.

I am looking for a new home with someone who is experienced with dogs and has, as an adult, independently owned dogs before.
They will need to be at home for most of the day and will have researched my breed type.
Someone who will enrol me in training classes and will make sure I get two gentle, thirty minute, off lead socialisation outings per day whilst I'm still young, building up to a minimum of one to two hours of active off lead exercise daily once I'm fully grown.
I can live with another grown up dog providing they have been well trained, are calm and will be a good role model for me.
I can also live with cats who are confident around dogs providing my owners put in the time and effort required to teach me not to chase them.
Due to my very young age and training needs I will need to live in either a house or ground floor flat with direct access to a garden and any children in my new home will need to be at least seven years of age and upwards.
My new owners will need to be fully prepared for the hard work involved in bring up a puppy, they will be taking on a fifteen-year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.

I hope to see you soon,
Lottie x
