Quick update, but sorry no pics!

The 'Magnificent Seven' are all doing really well. Tiggy has settled into the pack perfectly although Mitzy sometimes has an issue with her if Rachael shows her too much attention!

I think Alex is finally starting to grow up, but between him and Mitzy, its never a dull moment in this house - not a day goes by without them having us in stitches!

Leo and Kyra seem to have settled on their epiphen dosage for their epilepsy, and fortunately they are both on a very low dose which allows lots of scope for any deterioration in their symptoms. (Fingers crossed that that doesnt happen)

Robbie is still keeping everyone in line, but is definately having grumpy old git moments when I have to step in and remind him that actually I am the boss.

Ellie hasnt killed anything recently! But then Tiggy has taken a real shine to her and keeps her on her toes playing constantly, which is rather nice because Ellie was always left out of play times.

So thats about it in a nutshell. All healthy, doing well and enjoying life!

And now we have number 8!

Please meet Oscar

He's 18 months old, whippet/lurcher, from Jersey, and is settling in with the pack really well! So Tiggy has a lurcher playmate now.

We call them The Tweedles - Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum! They do everything together. They are so funny.

They look like twins.. apart from their collars how do you tell them apart.

Beautiful sunny

No. Tiggy came from Ireland and Oscar came from Jersey. Tiggy was a stray and Oscar spent his first 12 months kept in a crate because he was naughty! He's not naughty, just got bags of character. Ok he's not for the faint-hearted, but we love him. And Tiggy is just an angel that we are convinced was sent to us by my mum.

We have 8 dogs again! Toffee is a permanent foster.

She came over from Ireland 2 years ago to Lurcher SOS, rescued from a travellers site. She was extremely traumatised, terrified of every body and everything.

After a few months with Laurie, it became obvious that she was unhomeable and so Laurie decided to keep her as her own.

Toffee became a little more relaxed after some time, but was always fearful around men and would hide when any visitors came to the house.

Toffee, although never showing any aggression towards any of the rest of the pack or any of the foster dogs that came and went (near to 100!), took a dislike to one of Laurie's other dogs, and attacked several times, causing some nasty injuries. We can only think that it was because the other dog was more fearful than she is. Laurie made the heartbreaking decision to rehome her, but where did she start? Another couple of months went by, and one day I went to Laurie's to pick up a foster dog, and sat down on the sofa. Toffee was all over me! Nudging me for a fuss, roaching on her back against me, and wouldnt leave me alone.

Laurie was speechless. In 2 years she had never shown affection to anyone like that - not even Laurie!

So I offered to take her home and see how she coped.

She loves it here! She is SO happy. Her tail never stops. She adores me and Rachael, and talks to us when we walk in the room. She flees when Jack comes into the room, but there is a very slow improvement there too. She will lie down and relax with him in the room as long as he is sitting quietly.

Anyway, 3 months on, she is still here, still very happy, and still lovin' it, so she's going nowhere!
