If you can put up with a purple throat you can use purple spray, it's got pos and neg gram bacteria stuff in and because its a liquid it won't stick to his coat and he can't wipe it everywhere. Get it at any horse tack shop and it comes in a pump spray.

sorry guys, but can i just say, yes alan has done a great job with
barney, but lets not forget his previous owners loved him to bits
and it's only through her husbands illness that she has let him go.
which she only did because of her love for him.

What a stunner, his mum and dad must be heartbroken at having to find him a new forever home.

Hi All,

Could not agree more he has such a wonderful temperament and I am lucky to have him. His original owners did a marvelous job with him and he is responding well to training. He knows what to do but pretends to forget Laughing Without that good solid, loving family when he was younger he would not be the big gentle giant he is now. He really is a cracker Cool
Many thanks for the advice re antiseptic cream, wound now cleaned and dressed with Sudacream (zinc ointment?) I have used stuff like Savlon on dogs before with no ill effect but I was warned by the vet that a dogs skin is a lot more sensitive than humans so I should use something else....Of couse he did not tell me what that something else was! I will wait until the weather warms up and give him a bath. Now that is gonna be a riot!!!

Cheers

Alan
