Grilled veggie burgers

Ingredients:
3tbsp light vegetable oil
260g canned lentils
260g cooked brown rice
60g walnuts, finely chopped
100g smooth peanut butter
2 free-range eggs
45g breadcrumbs
4 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
6 bread rolls
3 tomatoes, sliced
1/2 tsp salt
6 green lettuce leaves
Mayonnaise and ketchup, to serve (humans...)

Method:
1. In a bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, lentils, brown rice, walnuts, peanut butter, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper and parsley. Blend well.

2. Divide the mixture into six burgers and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

3. Grill the burgers under a medium heat, turning once, until they are cooked through and browned on both sides.

4. When the burgers are almost done, lightly toast the bread rolls.

5. Layer up the burgers with lettuce and sliced tomato.

Please note:

These recipes are for treats - not daily food for dogs
In small amounts nuts are OK for dogs, but they should never eat macadamia nuts
