Thanks guys! Emma is well and truly settled, like she's always been here ... It started like this … Happy to meet Keen to play Thoughtful looking girl She liked the look of the sea Turned on the charm with OH Posed beautifully First evening …. Think it went well She's a perfect addition to the family. Thanks Christine in Ireland, Ron & Chris for letting us adopt her and Tina and Graham for fostering her and bringing her to Wittering, otherwise this might never have happened!

LOL - thanks Pam! I think you're right, just meant to be, but he (Mr Caz that is) is unlikely to come to any other dog event with me again ... apart from training classes! He's too worried what else we might come back with Anyway, here's a very long overdue update on darling Emma Emma here. I've been living with these humans for over 7 months now! It's not too bad. They give me raw food to eat which I think is pretty good, and my weight has settled at around 25.5 - 26 kilos which they vet says is just great Still haven't grown into my lugs though .... we get comments on how hoooge they are from people sometimes. Caz says something about 'all the better to hear her commands with', or somefink along those lines. I do listen, most of the time, and I'm doing pretty well. Last year I did a Good Manners Course and passed! Then earlier this year I did a recall class for 8 weeks and passed again (some dogs didn't), and before you ask, nah she didn't make Thomas go as well. But I'm not quite ready for my KC Bronze (Thomas did his and passed!), cos I get too distracted and want to watch out for Thomas all the time, so my heelwork and recalls go to pot. Hopefully in a few months I can do my Bronze ... Still need to do a little on my lead work, (which by the way was perfect for the second test done for the recall class, Caz reckons it was to do with the handler *cough* cos she worked me for the second test!!), but that's their fault for not making me do more practice. Anyway, I have settled into this forest life - some scents are VERY interesting and I find it difficult to ignore them - but I'm about 99.9% with horses now which is great cos we see them almost every day. Anyway, here are some pics in case you'd forgotten what I look like. Caz did have more of me and Thomas sunbathing, but the lead for the camera has developed legs and disappeared somewhere ... Me an' him proving we can do down stays outdoors ... although you can't see it my Kong toy was just 3 feet away and I had to leave it be :hissyfit: This Kong only lasedt 1 day :voodoo: When I don't destroy my toys I developed a habit of 'losing' them ... so Caz only let me have them for a few mins at a time now on a walk, then they are put away again. That means I'm like velcro to the humans until they give it back (or I get bored and go and harass Thomas) Did I mention that I like to track scents? Just checking out Thomas' beach ... Enticing Thomas into a game of chase. That's all for now. Love Emma

Thanks for moving over Emma's thread from the old forum Well, would you believe that little Emma has been here a year??!!?? So, happy gotcha day sweetie - and happy 2nd b'day too (well, who knows when the real one was?!) - looking forward to many more happy years with you! Thanks once again to Chris & Ron for bringing her over for rehoming and letting her choose us & to Christine at Leitrim for saving her from the pound (and Tina and Graham for bringing her to Wittering a year ago!). **Picture heavy update!** Been up in Wales, playing in the forest and on the beach and Caz took a squillion pictures of us: Obligatory posing shot of moi And one of Thomas That Thomas, he tail-swished me out of shot!! Having a little rest. This is one way to keep me quiet ... Now, where did Thomas go? Getting ready to pounce ‘Sausages?’ Nah, rather have my ball. I like a good game of chase: I'll go find him Caz ... (if you look really carefully you can see Thomas at the top of the pic, honest) Beach chasing is the best And some random shots & poses I’m a real water baby. It’s a hard life here, sigh. We stayed on the beach until sunset and watched the clouds turn pink on the far beach (which we're allowed on again cos it is Oct, woohooo!) ... it was only another 1.5 mile walk back to the car, and just a bit dark by the time we got there, oops. That's all for now! Love, Emma & Thomas

Thought I'd best update her thread with a few pics ... Heading off with Thomas and OH up a mountain OH and me on our way up Having a rest halfway round On our way down again (yeah, alright, we didn't go up to the top) Cooling off in the lake Just chilling .... Thomas got the sofa! :cryingtissues: It's not a bad life for an Irish girl here, get walks every day & cuddles every night on the sofa, but still have to go to skool (not passed any tests since I got my Bronze KC last July :rotflmao: ), like I'm bothered!! :glitter_love: Emma :GSD:
