Nannuq is a 3 year old GSD/Malamute or Husky bitch.



Nannuq is currently in a family home in Ireland.. this is what her Mum writes

Unfortunately I have to move back to the UK as my Mum has Alzheimers and my Dad needs my help. Where they live is a fairly expensive area, so I'm going to have to move to a smaller house in a village in all probability, with not much of a garden.
She would be really happy I think in a home with no other dogs, or one male, big dog for company.

She is a fantastic dog with people, I would trust her totally with children and adults (of course never leaving a dog alone with a child) but she just doesn't like some other bitches. Having said that, she is fine with the other dogs most of the time, its just when she gets excited, she runs around and doesn't seem to know what to do with herself.

I used to foster children, and one boy that was living with us kicked her in the head - he said that he was trying to kick the ball that she had in her mouth at the time. Either way, she didn't react to him at all, just got away from him as quickly as possible.

She loves to play with big, male dogs, and is obsessed with her toys, she will run after a ball or throw toy all day long if you let her.
She is also great with cats, we have two cats, and she pays them no attention whatsoever, except sometimes she will lay down with one of them and go to sleep.

This is such a hard thing to do, she was never part of the rescue, she was supposed to be one of our dogs, staying here until she was old and died naturally.
She is very shy of new people and dogs but soon comes round to people once she's been with them for a little while.
I take her on club hikes, with lots of other people and dogs around, and she will try and hide behind me with her tail firmly between her legs for the first 20 minutes or so, then gets her confidence and is happy to walk with everyone else.

She is such a fantastic dog, she really deserves to be somewhere that she can get a lot of love and attention.
She really is a lovely, lovely dog, just has some issues with other female dogs.

She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed

Nannuq has found a fantastic home with a lovely family in Ireland. She is being spoilt rotten, and being worn out with all the games of football in the garden.
