| And what a tail wagger A wee bit shy to start with but is settling in well. Seems to have taken a real liking to Ian - when he went upstairs she pawed at the door and cried after him. Bless. Pics to follow. |

| OK. Here's a couple of pics I took yesterday. Suzie was flaked out after all that travelling and decided my son made a comfy bed They both looked chilled out. I'll start a progress thread on Doggy Chat for her. |

| After sleeping off some of her long journey from Ireland, Suzie seems to be settling in really well.
My friend came round and we took Suzie and Buddy out for a walk. Boy, for a young pup, she pulls like a train. Always trying to get up beside Buddy but she enjoyed her walk.
Since we got her yesterday, her tail hasn't stopped wagging.
Got her a new collar. It's gold with diamonte bones on it (yeah, I now OTT but it suits her). It was reduced in Pets at Home and I thought it would complement her colouring perfectly. it did. Also got a name tag with my address and phone number on it as it's illegal to walk your dog without one. I had a job putting it on her because she was wagging her tail so much, her whole body was moving.
Very sweet little girl. Just loves to be cuddled.
Discovered she didn't know what stairs were so, with much coaxing from Ian she went up and down them. She also didn't know what a bed was and promptly piddled on mine. Night on the sofa for me last night. Oh well, I suppose that's what washing machines are for. Was too tired myself to worry about it or change all the bedding last night. Woke up this morning to find Suzie cuddled up behind me. Ah bless.
Going to start crate training today. Although every dog I've had has slept in my bedroom, prospective new owners might not want that so I think crate training is a good idea. Suzie is also at the chewing stage (had a go at my table legs) and got hold of one of my late husband's calculators and demolished that (it was a cheap one so wasn't worried about it).
Taking her to our vets for a puppy check (also get freebies) and register her there. They know already she is a foster and that is fine with them.
She'll be starting puppy training class at the same class I take Buddy to on a Wednesday evening. That will start to socialise her with both other dogs and humans. It's a good class run by a very good instructor. Suzie is very intelligent and learns quickly.
Whoever adopts this lovely little girl (or not so little - she has HUGE paws so is going to be a big lass) is going to have a wonderful companion. |

I spilled some of my coffee. Suzie dived in and licked it up then came asking for more. My coffee is NOT for sharing LOL.
I'm crate training her . Overall she's been really good. Very quick to learn. She was starting to walk to heel tonight which I was pleased about. Very quick learner. Buddy's been teaching her doggy manners though and establishing her place in the pecking order.
Had to laugh today as twice she ran right under Buddy's belly. Bet she won't be able to do that in a week or two |
