| meet Shumi He is 18 months old and is a very large boy. It appears that he had at least 2 homes in his short life. He is a little nervous at the moment but its proberly just due to the change in his life. He is a lovely dog, good with dogs and children. He is fully vaxed, flead and wormed. |

| OMG he is GORGEOUS. And what a name...the OH's racing hero. Maybe if I can persuade OH that I do really need another GSD to keep Jacko company.... Wishful thinking on my behalf. javascript:emoticonp('') Sure that this boy will find a home quickly (like his namesake)javascript:emoticonp(' ') Might just leave his details up for when OH comes home!!!!!! |

| Shumi has settled in really well and is really coming out of himself.
He is fully house trained, walks well on the lead and seems ok with cats. He is great with dogs and is just starting to play with my two.
he does know all his commands and once he trusts you he will continue to do as his told for as long as you want him too.
He is sometimes a little hand shy but this is getting better. he does bark at some new people but this is nerves and he soon stops.
Schumi is great with the kids and loves affection from them. |

| The 'big boy' is now in his new home - he's settled in fantastically - totally relaxed and happy. He's made a new friend - Billy the cat! - as well as having his two little ladies for company (Pebbles and Fudge - the black and brown dogs in the photos above). He was so well behaved on the way home (nearly 2 hours in the car with Pebbles and Fudge) and has just completely relaxed into the house. Both of my cats are quite happy with him and he doesn't bother with them at all. He did, however, find the chicken of interest but after a single gentle 'no' he's not bothered her again. He is totally fabulous (if not a little hairy!!!). I also took him round to meet my girls (3 and and they love him to bits and he didn't bat an eyelid when they hugged and stroked him - he just ay there and lapped it up! I have decided to rename him Zeus as I felt (and had a few comments to back it up!) that Schumi didn't seem quite right for him! He's already responding to it and comes in from the garden as soon as he's called and sits on command too... the person who handed him in has lost a massive asset and I can only thank you all at the SGSR hugely for giving me the opportunity to give him the wonderful life that he so deserves. Thank you all - I look forward to seeing you on the walks! Yes, in the photo below, this is Zeus' tongue you can see licking Billy....!!! |
