Alexa is currently in foster in Ireland



She is a 5 month old , black & tan short coat .
She was in the pound , but has become stressed & upset .
We are looking for a SPECIAL HOME , her short life has not been
good , some wicked person docked her tail .

Well Alexa had a good first night.. She slept in her crate and was very quiet. She is not house trained and we are working on that (and doing lots of mopping up).
She is a quick learner.. she has worked out where the dog food cupboard is, and will do her best sit and puppy eyes beside it.
She has met all the cats now .. she has barked at them but not chased them and none of them are bothered by her... she managed to open the stair gate yesterday and I found her sitting on the stairs with one of the cats .. bless her, she did not know what to do..
She is 100% puppy ... full of play and mischief, a bit bouncy and loves her cuddles.

Alexa has just left for her forever home with the lovely Dee.. She is going to be renamed lexy, which we have been calling her for the last two days and suits her just right. She has two other German shepherds to play with and will be spoilt rotton.. lucky girl

Hi Ron and everyone, thought i would drop you a line to let you know how Lexy (Alexa) is getting on. The food obsession is much improved already, she sits at the kitchen door waiting now. She is such a loving little girl and her and Rolo have had a love affair since day 1 and Kia my big woosy is not running away from her so much now. Will update you again soon. Dee.

Yippy, Lexy finished her second dose of antibiotics 2 days ago and no sign of a nasal discharge or sneezing. With the last dose it was back the next day. We've got everything crossed it does not happen again. When my son takes them all for a walk she rushes in and jumps on me to say Mum i'm home. Food and toileting coming along slowly but surely. Dee.

Lexy was spayed on Monday and vet thinks she is seven months old. She was totally out of it untill yesterday morning. She is desperately trying to get the collar of but it has;nt stopped her from charging around like a mad thing,(like mum like dog i suppose,ah Ron) can't make out why she can't go out with the others. She has put on 2and a half kg's since iv'e had her and is coming on a treat, everyone at the vets said what a little darling she was. speak soon.

Don't know where the time has gone.lexy is into everything and always getting me into trouble by chaseing dogs, she comes back when called but the other dog carries on running. Her and Rolo together are a pair of imps and Kia just stands back and barks. Love them all dearly. I'm going to have a hip replacement in a few weeks so keep your fingers crossed for the poor friend who is going to walk them for me.
