Bronte has arrived safe & well .

Here she is this morning

This is what her foster mum said about her

Bronte has arrived safe and well. Initial impressions are that she is a quiet reserved girl. She has passed the cats with no obvious interest in them and has met the rabbits who she seems to look at as a curiosity but not particularly interesting.

So far she is tolerating my two but is not interested in them that much - much to Kodi's disappointment as he is trying so hard to get her to play

She has refused to drink anything yet and Andrew (the transporter) said she has refused to drink anything at all during stops in the journey. She travelled with him on the front seat and she tried very hard to get back to him when he handed her over (Andrew was very tempted to keep her as she has been a total sweetheart. She showed tolerance of my daughter and me but no particular interest (perhaps she perfers men )

She doesn't respond to the name Bronte at all, pulls like a train on the lead (but most of the Irish dogs do ).

Only been here about an hour so early days but she has got the most beautiful face and is a nice size bitch who just needs some love and attention. A very sweet unassuming girl.

Rosemarie

Hello everyone [

Well Bronte, now ELLA has arrived at her forever home and is settling in well. She has eated, drunk and been out in the garden to do her business. She has also destroyed one of her new toys, been brushed and played with.

She is responding to "sit", "stay" and "come her" commands already which is very pleasing. She is now lying in the middle of our sitting room having a rest (will get some pictures soon). However, evertime Marin gets up, she follows him, so he has a shadow.

A big THANK YOU to evertone, we absolutely love Ella and the process was so quick and efficient, it was unbelievable.

Also thank you to Rosemarie who fostered Ella and looked after her so well.

This is a fantastic rescue organisation.

Thanks Martin, Sophie & Ella (our baby girl). x

Well, Ella seems really happy after just 24hrs. Gave her a bath and she seemed to quite like it and her coat is now lovely and shiny and she loves being brushed. She responds to her new name already which is amazing (unless it is just our voice!) - she really is a clever girl.

She is extremely friendly but is still pulling a bit on the lead but Martin is going to take her to obedience classes which will hopefully sort this out. Can't wait until she can run free in our 3 acre garden!

Tried to take some pictures of her sleeping in front of the open fire which were especially cute but she always wakes up and runs towards Martin for a cuddle.

Have read the instructions for uploading pictures, so hopefully will get some on soon.

Love Martin, Sophie and Ella x
