Here's Archie in the snow on Thursday 2nd and Saturday 4th December. That's his favourite toy, a mini space hopper, that he was throwing up in the air and catching!

2nd Dec

4th Dec - after the thaw

Thanks for the kind words about our boy. He is the dearest, funniest, sweetest natured dog one could hope for.

He loves the snow, as most dogs do. It's about 16 inches deep, drifting to over 2 ft in places here near Sevenoaks, Kent. Even Archie was exhausted after an hour walking round the golf course as the snow was deeper than the length of his legs and he had to keep leaping in order to make any progress. By the end of the walk, he just managed two leaps and stopped right in front of me (so I kept nearly falling over him..) as if to tell me, "Great fun, but that's enough, can we find a place where I can run normally now?"

After a quick power nap, he was ready to go out again a few hours later so off we had to go once more. For me, I suppose it was good exercise for the thighs, ploughing through 2ft of virgin snow....I slept well.

Archie is still as adorable as ever. His best friends are Labradoodles and we often go on group walks with the UK Labradoodle Association. Here he is today, 6 Feb 2011, at Banstead Woods.

His agility is improving and he still loves it, especially the tunnels, chutes and high walks.

We are so lucky to have him.

In case anyone is still interested in our Archie, here he is enjoying his fortnightly stroll with his Labradoodle friends on 17 April 2011.....

.....and then on 23 April in the bluebell woods, the North Downs, finishing off with a cool down in the river.

Time for a few new pics.

Here is the man on 8 May 2011, on a walk with the Large Breed Dog Rescue in Maidstone, Kent:

with regular girlfriend, Betty

with Dodger, his very best friend (that's Dodger in the foreground, in case you can't tell them apart!)

...and on 14 May 2011, with Doodle friends in Banstead Surrey:
