| Hi Regans mum here, Regan has taken up chasing cars not a good idea I am recently out of two plaster's really don't want to have any more also I don't want any nasty vet's bills and I certainly don't want Regan to be injured and when he pulls you towards a moving car it is scary!! On a very busy road he seems ok have sat on the A5 in rush hour at a bus stop and he was chilled out just laying there, but on a quieter road where it is not constant traffic well to be honest he is a nightmare and I would really appreciate any advice on how to stop him, he is getting bigger and stronger so I need to have this under control asap. Any help is appreciated....thanks. |

| Are you using any sort of headcollar to control Regan?
I have used Pet Corrector very successfully with Duke to stop him chasing cats & motorbikes! Pet Corrector is just compressed air in a can that makes a loud noise. As soon as it distracts the dog then praise. Only took a couple of squirts on Duke to get the message across  Doesnt work on all dogs but worth a try?
Other methods can be distraction with food, if he is food orientated or toy. Stay at a distance he doesnt react to begin with then move closer to the problem until you can be next to the cars without a reaction. Lots of praise when he ignores the cars. |

| Hiya, Regans mum here thanks for those tips if not a stupid question where can i get one of those pet correctors from (ebay??) as that sounds good. He is on a head collar now but that's quite a recent thing. Tried the food earlier today but couldn't get the attention which is very unusual normally he will do any thing for food! Makes it difficult at the mom as working with just the one good hand but will certainly give these ideas ago....thank u will keep you posted.

| No such thing as a stupid question Pet Corrector is available from Pets at Home or maybe even your local petshop, mine sell it. It comes in a red can, I just pop mine in my bumbag when I go for a walk so its ready to hand A lot of dogs that are food orientated indoors arent bothered by it outside. My Duke is like that as well when he's distracted, I've tried fresh chicken & livercake outside & he didnt even sniff it! Depending on what headcollar you are using can make a difference as well especially if you've only got use of one hand. I have that problem too as I've got one dog in each hand Dogmatics are fantastic & I found give more control than ones such as halti or gentle leaders. Let us know how you get on |

| Rather than payout for a can of 'Pet Corrector' (the small one is about £7 and the larger one £11), I go to my local computer shop and buy a can of compressed air MUCH cheaper! Works exactly the same! Kays Tip of the day! ) |
